Dino Michael has been DJing for more than 30 years locally and internationally and is regarded as one of the Godfathers of House Music in South Africa. He has a knack for knowing what people want to hear and what gets the dance floor pumping. He started off in the township clubs and events surrounding Pretoria and Johannesburg and progressed to clubs all over SA. He hosted the first big deep house party in Langa Township in 1993 with business partner – international boxer Nika Khumalo, and hosted various DJ shows and music compiling on Metro FM with the Quincy Kekana, Vuzi Letswala and the late Bob Mabena. His true passion and love is Deep Soulful house and this you can hear in his DJ sets. Dino also hosted the Godfathers House radio show for 10 years which was regarded as one of the top deep house radio shows in the world.
Dino Michael has played alongside many top Dj’s from around the world and SA with the likes of Rocco, Ralf Gum, Christos, Atjazz, Black Coffee, Vinny Da Vinci, Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega etc just to mention a few. He opened up South Africa’s premier dance music store – DJ Syndicate in 1991, supplying Africa with the best 12” vinyl records & CDs from all over the world for almost 3 decades.. DJ Syndicate became a household name and was synonymous with upfront quality House Music. He has released several CDs and 12”records domestically and internationally and still produces today.
